In this role you partner with Commercial teams as a trusted finance adviser to shape customer strategy, pricing, promotions and investments. You translate financial insights into actionable commercial guidance and drive accountability for performance. You monitor and analyse market dynamics to inform short- and long-term decisions, including profitability and investment returns. You collaborate across Finance, Sales and Supply to deliver robust plans, forecasts and governance, influencing senior leaders with clear financial narratives. Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance partner to the Commercial Teams
- Provide decision support on customer strategy, pricing, promotions and investment decisions
- Translate financial insights into actionable commercial recommendations
- Challenge assumptions and drive accountability for performance outcomes
- Monitor, analyse and report customer, channel and market performance
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and investment returns
- Develop customer profitability and margin improvement strategies
- Provide market understanding to influence decision making for commercial success
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning for assigned markets and channels
- Develop budgets, forecasts, risks and opportunities assessments, and long-range plans with cross-functional alignment
- Deliver accurate forecasting of revenue, margin and commercial spend
- Monitor pricing compliance and governance
- Deliver meaningful business performance insights and high-quality financial models
- Influence senior commercial leaders across multiple European markets
- Provide recommendations impacting pricing, customer investments and strategic growth
- Balance regional, market and global priorities in decision-making
- Communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Build alignment across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Revenue Growth Management and Finance
- Lead discussions and negotiations with significant commercial and financial outcomes
Key requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in commercial finance, business partnering or financial planning and analysis
- Experience supporting sales, marketing or commercial functions within a complex multinational organisation
- Experience partnering with senior commercial stakeholders
- FMCG, consumer goods, beverage or retail experience preferred
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting and business case development experience
- Experience with Finance transformation
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business (preferred professional qualifications CA, CPA, CIMA)
- Strong communication and storytelling to non-finance stakeholders
