Overview
In this role you will own and drive the cyber security agenda for a multi-site, private equity-backed dental care business. You’ll align security work with the company’s growth and digitisation, protecting digital assets and ensuring regulatory and standards compliance. You’ll partner with leadership to shape risk-based decisions and enable safe adoption of AI and new technologies. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role in a supportive, collaborative team.

Responsibilities
- Own the security roadmap, strategy and budget across multiple sites
- Lead incident response and resilience, including root-cause analyses, reporting (ICO within 72 hours, NHS/DSPT where applicable) and tabletop exercises
- Provide guardrails for AI and emerging tech adoption with risk assessments and data classification
- Collaborate with DPO, information governance and clinical safety on data protection, DPIAs and digital clinical safety obligations
- Coordinate cyber insurance engagement and ensure ongoing risk reduction and compliance activities
Key requirements
- EDR/XDR experience (e.g., Aurora, Microsoft Defender)
- Microsoft cloud security (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Purview)
- Identity and access management
- Network architecture across a distributed multi-site estate
- 7+ years in IT or information security with senior/analyst experience
- Strategic thinking and commercial judgment
- Stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving under pressure
