Assistant Manager, Manager, Mining and Metals Valuations

Overview

In this role you will contribute to Deloitte’s natural resources valuation practice, focusing on mining and metals. You will help grow the client base and deliver valuation engagements across mineral assets, technical reviews, and related analyses. You’ll work with senior colleagues to develop the practice, manage multiple projects, and support business development. The role blends technical valuation work with client interaction in a collaborative, inclusive culture. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver advisory valuation engagements for mining and metals clients within the natural resources practice
• Lead and coordinate multiple valuations projects to time and budget with senior staff
• Perform financial, technical and market analysis and build/assess valuation models
• Conduct technical reviews of mining projects and due diligence processes
• Create quantitative valuation models and communicate rationale for conclusions
• Engage with client senior management and manage engagement risk
• Contribute to technical development, coaching, and staff development
• Support business development and internal networking initiatives
• Promote knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration
• Support flexible and agile working within the team

Key requirements

• Proven experience in mining/ mineral exploration or mining advisory/ financial advisory within mining sector
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of financial concepts and the ability to value mineral assets and mining businesses
• Understanding of mining operations and ability to read mineral resource statements and process flowsheets
• Enthusiasm for mining valuations and ability to present complex analysis concisely
• Proactive, self-driven, capable of learning and taking on delegated tasks
• Client-focused with ability to build relationships quickly
