ICT Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead transformational ICT and digital programmes across the Liverpool City Council estate. You will translate customer needs into defined objectives, plans and budgets while guiding internal and external teams to deliver on time and to a defined quality. You will drive transformational change within the ICT & Digital department and broader organisation, using established project management frameworks. This is a chance to shape technology solutions that serve staff and residents, within a dynamic, mission‑driven public sector environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex ICT and Digital solutions across the department and LCC estate within defined cost, quality and delivery parameters
• Interpret customer requirements, identify project objectives and confirm client expectations
• Specify project scope, produce and maintain detailed plans, risks and issues logs, and agree budgets with clients
• Lead internal and external work groups to achieve project objectives
• Contribute to transformational change across the ICT & Digital department and wider LCC estate

Key requirements

• Qualified project manager with proven delivery experience
• Good knowledge of Local Government Services
• Detailed understanding of Agile or Prince2 project management frameworks
• Track record of delivering projects
