Overview

In this GP role, you will deliver direct, compassionate clinical care within a large multidisciplinary team. You contribute to measured healthcare outcomes across three sites and disadvantaged communities, supported by a strong CPD program and collaborative practices. You will shape patient care through autonomous decisions, audits, and development of new services and care models. This position offers meaningful practice-building impact in a forward-thinking, community-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Hold surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, manage prescriptions, and respond to queries
  • Make autonomous clinical decisions for self-referred and referred patients
  • Assess undifferentiated health problems and screen for disease risk
  • Provide counselling and health education; admit/discharge and refer to other providers
  • Maintain clear notes, collect data for audits, and ensure prescriptions meet formulary
  • Develop and deliver new services and care models; comply with policies and data protection
  • Contribute to Enhanced Services, QOF/IIF initiatives, audits and clinical standards
  • Contribute to electronic patient records, Read-Coding, and training activities
  • Support training for medical and non-medical learners and TNBI care
  • Commit to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice

Key requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCGP or equivalent
  • Commitment to CPD
  • Knowledge of NHS policies and guidelines; prescribing protocols
  • DBS check; UK work eligibility
  • Compassionate, inclusive care for disadvantaged communities
  • Experience as GP in primary care; experience with QOF and quality initiatives
  • Strong diagnostic and autonomous decision-making skills
  • Proficient use of electronic patient records and clinical coding
