Overview
As Production Operations Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day live and recorded productions from our West London facilities, acting as a key operational lead across Chiswick and Stockley Park. You’ll coordinate production requirements, bookings, and resource allocations to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage studio setups, risk and safety compliance, and on-the-ground execution during live output. This role offers impact across fast-paced broadcasts and an opportunity to shape operational excellence in a renowned content environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as operational lead for Chiswick deliverables and represent Production Operations in meetings
- Coordinate information and updates across GT&O and other departments
- Collaborate with Production Resource, MCR, London Bookings, Engineering on event details and distribution
- Plan and deliver gallery positions, studio rigs, and production setups
- Verify resource allocation, bookings, and FACS testing requirements
- Maintain on-site presence to support escalation and issue resolution during production
- Schedule studio maintenance around production requirements and inform stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with Risk Assessments and Health & Safety in all activities
- Coordinate allocation and upkeep of green rooms and other support spaces
- Maintain updated service facilities information with latest policies and guidance
- Identify operational or facility risks early and take corrective actions
- Assist with call-time tracking and overtime planning
- Maintain budget and cost tracking documentation
- Coordinate freelance bookings, approvals, and informational documentation
- Support documentation and rollout of new workflows, system integrations, and facility updates
- Develop structured goals and development plans for the Production Operations Coordinator
Key requirements
- Experience in live broadcast, studio production, or production operations
- Strong understanding of PCR, studio and live production workflows
- Experience supporting live sport or fast-paced multi-production environments desirable
- Strong problem-solving and escalation skills
- Knowledge of scheduling systems, production booking, and resource allocation workflows
- Understanding of Risk Assessments and Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build relationships
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to live production support
