Roofing Estimator

Overview

In this Estimator role, you will develop accurate, competitive tenders for roofing, cladding and façade packages. You’ll work with commercial and operations teams to review tender docs, perform take-offs, gather quotations, and prepare cost estimates. You’ll spot risks and opportunities, support value engineering, and ensure submissions are commercially viable. You’ll join a growing, specialist contractor with a collaborative culture and varied project portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Produce tender submissions for roofing, cladding and façade packages
• Review tender documentation and carry out take-offs
• Request and analyse supplier/subcontractor quotations
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans
• Identify risks and opportunities within tenders
• Support value engineering and ensure competitive, viable submissions
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams
• Contribute to a varied portfolio of projects

Key requirements

• Experience as an Estimator in roofing, cladding, façades, curtain walling, rainscreen systems or similar environment
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Experience producing accurate cost plans and competitive tenders
• Commercial awareness with ability to identify risks and opportunities
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to meet tender deadlines
