Overview

In this role you support Deloitte’s Real Estate Mergers and Acquisitions team delivering financial due diligence on high-profile transactions. You will work within cross-functional deal teams across UK and international assignments, helping clients identify value, risks and deal implications. You’ll develop understanding of target businesses, analyse financial data and contribute to growing advisory propositions in a client-focused, collaborative environment. This role offers hybrid working with Leeds or Manchester base and international flexibility where needed, within a culture that values inclusion and development.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly understand the target business and its drivers
  • Analyse deal commercials, information memoranda, business plans and public data
  • Review historical trading, cash flow and balance sheets
  • Assess projections and underlying assumptions
  • Identify adjustments to reported financials to show underlying earnings and working capital
  • Flag potential issues and risk or price-impacting considerations
  • Review financial structures and credit agreements
  • Lead and develop service offerings to drive growth
  • Lead, manage and develop diverse teams within an inclusive culture

Key requirements

  • ACA or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in financial due diligence or transaction services
  • Strong report writing with attention to detail and risk management
  • Advanced Excel skills and data manipulation
  • Interest in building a career in core operating real estate sectors
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders
  • Business development experience and ability to convert opportunities to sales
  • Experience in building and managing client relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Flexibility for international travel
  • Desirable: experience in corporate/ private equity transactions; European language (optional)
