Security Operations & Threat Management Lead

Overview

In this role you will lead the organisation’s security operations, threat management and incident response, partnering with outsourced security providers while developing an internal team. You will drive a pragmatic, risk-based security approach aligned with business needs and ongoing transformation. You’ll help build core cyber capabilities at a global industrial services group undergoing growth and change. This is a formative opportunity to shape security maturity in a fast-moving environment and work closely with cross-functional teams to protect critical assets. Responsibilities

• Lead security operations, SOC, threat management and incident response capabilities
• Coordinate with outsourced security partners (SOC, MDR, MSSP) and govern their delivery
• Develop and mature the internal security team and processes
• Implement risk-based security controls that align with business objectives
• Drive vulnerability management and risk-based remediation programs

Key requirements

• Experience leading security operations, SOC, threat management or incident response in a complex organisation
• Experience building or maturing a security operations function with practical processes in a developing environment
• Pragmatic, risk-based approach balancing security with business needs
• Experience managing or governing outsourced security providers (SOC, MDR, MSSP)
