Senior Calypso Business Analyst

Overview

As a Senior Calypso Business Analyst, you will lead the upgrade analysis from Calypso v18 to v19, outlining impact across front, middle, and back-office processes. You will document requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure a smooth transition while supporting data migration and post-implementation hypercare. You’ll work with business users and IT teams to understand workflows, perform gap analysis, and verify changes across modules like Trade Capture, Market Data, and Risk. This role offers a chance to shape the upgrade program and drive a successful, cross-functional transition.

Responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical differences between Calypso v18 and v19 and assess impact on business processes
• Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements for the upgrade
• Collaborate with front, middle, and back-office users to map current workflows and affected areas
• Conduct gap analysis and identify changes to functionality, workflows, and integrations
• Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams through the upgrade lifecycle
• Define and support test scenarios, test cases, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Assist with defect triage, resolution tracking, and regression testing
• Document configuration, workflow, and reporting changes
• Support data migration and reconciliation activities as needed
• Provide post-implementation support and hypercare

Key requirements

• Proven BA experience in Calypso environments
• Strong knowledge of Calypso modules (Trade Capture, Market Data, Risk, Collateral, Settlements, Accounting)
• Direct experience with Calypso upgrades (v18 to v19 advantageous)
• Solid understanding of trade lifecycle and derivatives/treasury products
• Experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis, and test coordination
• Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and validation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
