Overview
Senior Mechanical Engineer at Linx (Veralto) leads mechanical development from concept to production across printer products. You will work with the Mechanical Engineering Manager to deliver robust, scalable designs and maintain high engineering discipline. The role emphasizes first-time-right delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and continual process improvement. You’ll influence product performance, reliability, and safety in a global market, contributing to a high‑impact, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical systems from concept to production and field support with focus on performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability and cost
- Accelerate development of new printer products using robust industrial design and mass production techniques
- Lead requirements capture, design reviews, verification, validation and risk management with FMEAs; conduct DFM reviews with suppliers
- Improve engineering capability through better requirements, risk management, test methods, design standards and development processes
- Utilize standard toolsets (CAD, DFM, PDM, FEA) to reduce design time and field failures
- Provide technical leadership on all mechanical engineering matters, including awareness of global machine safety regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Electronics, Program Management, Manufacturing) and external partners to deliver validated solutions
- Maintain and promote compliance with Linx design processes and documentation
- Support continuous improvement of products and processes through lessons learned and knowledge sharing
Key requirements
- Proven track record in developing industrial products at scale
- Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive Engineering or time-served experience
- Experience in multidisciplinary design teams integrating electronics and software
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and system integration
- Experience with CAD/CAE tools; SolidWorks or Creo; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Windchill advantageous
- Analytical problem-solving skills and proficiency in structured design and verification methods
- Knowledge of machine safety regulatory requirements in a global market
