Data Scientist Senior Associate (AI/ML) – Risk Management

Overview

In this role you design and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions within Risk Management and Compliance at JPMorganChase. You collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business lines to deliver explainable AI, multi-agent systems, and production-grade tools. You ensure Responsible AI standards, drift monitoring, and model retraining. You help drive a culture of experimentation and operational excellence, delivering measurable value that embeds AI into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement explainable AI/ML solutions and multi-agent systems with orchestration and human-in-the-loop controls
• Build production-grade code, perform debugging, reviews, and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with data science peers, product partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define goals and requirements
• Partner with Model Risk and Compliance to meet Responsible AI standards, including bias testing and human-in-the-loop controls
• Deliver projects using Agile and sprints, translating business needs into technical specs and achieving milestones
• Integrate solutions into operations via APIs and batch pipelines, focusing on reliability and adoption
• Implement drift monitoring and retraining to maintain model accuracy over time

Key requirements

• Demonstrated experience in data science, analytics, or a related field
• Experience deploying and managing AI/ML/advanced analytics models at scale in a large enterprise
• Working knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and scalable data processing
• Proficiency with Python-based ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks and agent design patterns (e.g., LangGraph)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to innovate, work independently, and collaborate in a matrix environment
