Senior Engineering Management & Integration

Overview

In this role you lead and coordinate engineering across the full product lifecycle to deliver Typhoon weapon capabilities and other defence platforms. You collaborate with UK customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to shape requirements, proposals and governance, ensuring on-time, on-cost, and high-quality delivery. The position is highly visible with significant stakeholder engagement and potential for business growth and capability development. Based in Filton with hybrid working, you’ll influence capability evolution in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements for new weapon capabilities (Platform and Support)
• Develop robust, value-for-money proposals that meet requirements and enhance Typhoon capability
• Deliver contracted tasks to time, cost and quality and secure customer acceptance
• Support securing new business through appropriate engineering governance and maturity reviews
• Interface with stakeholders at all levels to manage operational and contractual issues
• Maintain direct relationship with UK Customer and key suppliers

Key requirements

• Broad engineering background with product development, systems integration, trials, and in-service support solutions
• Proven experience applying Systems Engineering principles to technical and programme management activities
• Strong commercial and business awareness with understanding of financial and contractual aspects of delivering complex programmes
• Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple functions and delivery organisations
• Experience managing technical governance, delivery and engineering activities within complex, multi-disciplinary environments
