Cyber Security Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will own network and device security across internal and customer environments, driving security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management. You’ll design and implement security controls, advise on secure network design, and provide senior security support across teams. You will work with cross-functional groups to improve policies, tooling, and incident handling, shaping the security posture of the organization. This is a hands-on opportunity to impact security at scale and mentor others in a security-conscious culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement information security policies, controls and solutions
• Monitor security events, risks and vulnerabilities and investigate incidents
• Design, build, test and troubleshoot security solutions including SIEM and IDS/IPS
• Manage vulnerability testing and recommend improvements
• Provide cybersecurity expertise across network design and management
• Maintain security policies, procedures and technical documentation
• Act as a senior point of contact for security issues and provide third-line support
• Support and develop internal teams through knowledge sharing and training

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ multi-network experience with hands-on secure network design and management
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, SIEM, IDS/IPS, penetration testing and forensic tools
• Knowledge of ISO27001, GDPR, ITIL and vulnerability management
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• SC Clearance or ability to obtain it
