Overview

In this role you drive new business across national and international accounts for YouGov’s data, analytics, and custom research solutions. You will lead complex proposals, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and work with Research and Product to ensure commercially sound deliverables. You’ll leverage AI to streamline the sales cycle and maintain a robust pipeline, shaping multi-sector growth and market leadership. Responsibilities

  • Own territory and pipeline: manage a personal revenue target, forecast accurately, and pursue high-value opportunities across sectors both nationally and internationally.
  • Develop and execute a robust sales plan, maintaining a steady flow of opportunities and a monthly review cycle.
  • Lead qualification and discovery on complex, high-value deals using MEDDPICC rigor.
  • Shape bespoke commercial solutions and pricing for non-standard deals within agreed parameters.
  • Utilize Sales Enablement tools (Salesforce, Gong or equivalent) for forecasting, quotes, and win/loss analysis.
  • Engage DMUs across client organisations, acting as a trusted adviser through the sales cycle and early account life.
  • Position the full YouGov suite (Data Services, Data Products, Sport and Custom) and advise on fit for clients.
  • Collaborate with Research and Product to ensure deliverable, methodologically sound proposals.
  • Support SDRs with outbound activity and convert inbound leads to long-term relationships.
  • Maintain accurate client/prospect records in Salesforce and build data-led narratives connecting insight to business decisions.
  • Stay informed on market trends to identify opportunities and position as a sector expert.

Key requirements

  • Proven track record closing complex or high-value opportunities, exceeding targets.
  • Experience in consumer insights, market research, or subscription/SaaS sales with national and international exposure.
  • Experience managing multiple sectors in a professional services environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen to understand and articulate bespoke solutions.
  • Comfort with CRM systems (Salesforce) and sales enablement tools for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Analytical, problem-solving mindset with results-driven approach.
