Engineering Manager

Overview

As Asset Lifecycle Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of MAG’s asset management strategy at East Midlands Airport. You will implement new asset management standards to keep assets safe, reliable, and cost-efficient across the lifecycle. Working across diverse airport systems, you will optimise maintenance processes and drive continual improvement, compliance and operational excellence. This role offers a tangible chance to influence infrastructure management in a fast-paced environment and help shape long-term asset performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of the asset management strategy
• Implement new asset management standards
• Ensure asset maintenance is safe, efficient, and cost-effective

• Enhance maintenance processes and drive continuous improvement
• Champion compliance and operational excellence across the lifecycle
• Influence management of critical infrastructure for long-term performance

Key requirements

• Degree or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience in Asset Management, Engineering or Maintenance in a complex operational environment
• Strong analytical skills with data interrogation and insight generation
• Experience with Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management Systems (desirable)
• Collaborative, proactive team player with strong communication and stakeholder influence
• Forward-thinking, innovative mindset with experience in continuous improvement and business case development
• Knowledge of condition-based maintenance and predictive technologies
• Experience explaining technical information to diverse stakeholders in a frontline, customer-focused setting
• Confident, self-motivated and capable of challenging the status quo
• Strong ability to analyse information and determine effective solutions
