Overview
In this role you ensure product and packaging meet food safety and legal standards. You will record information using systems to demonstrate traceability and escalate non-conformances to prevent withdrawals or recalls. Your checks may include temperature, swabbing, weight and size verifications, contributing to cost control and customer satisfaction. You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment and play a key part in maintaining high quality across site operations. Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality checks on products and packaging
- Record data using relevant systems to ensure traceability
- Escalate non-conformances to prevent recalls
- Conduct temperature probing, swabbing, and physical checks (weight/size)
- Support minimization of loss and ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaborate within a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Adhere to food safety and legality standards
Key requirements
- Previous manufacturing and food handling experience preferred but not essential
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures (~8°C or below)
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain high accuracy
- Full training provided; no essential qualification required
- Awareness of basic food safety principles (desirable)
- Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP Level 2 (desirable)
