Operations manager

Overview

As the Livingston Operations Manager, you will oversee safety, delivery, quality and cost across production and development programs, while acting as site lead. You will manage a team of Production managers and translate strategic plans into actionable, lean-driven operations. You’ll ensure compliance with UK standards and enable site growth through cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders. This is a chance to shape site performance, drive continuous improvement, and support a high-reliability manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, delivery, quality and cost on production and development programs at Livingston
• Directly supervise Production managers and develop the manufacturing team
• Implement Lean management system and drive CORE/RTX Management System adherence
• Maintain manufacturing compliance to RUK standards and align with site strategic plans
• Ensure timely, high-quality production within budget; manage daily accountability and rapid corrective actions
• Support site leadership development and cross-functional collaboration with program and customer stakeholders
• Promote safety, quality improvements, and CORE initiatives across manufacturing areas
• Oversee training and development with responsibility for up to ~200 reports

Key requirements

• Extensive leadership experience in a highly regulated environment
• Experience leading in a matrix environment with diverse customer base
• Proven track record of applying continuous improvement tools
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Business or engineering degree would be advantageous
