Senior Manager, Commercial Procurement

Overview

In this role you will shape and deliver Burberry’s strategy for professional services procurement, leading a team and partnering with senior stakeholders to unlock commercial value, strengthen supplier performance, and ensure governance and compliance. You will oversee the MSP for contingent labour, driving procurement capability across the business. You will influence complex decisions through market insight and robust reporting, contributing to sustainable luxury and responsible sourcing at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the procurement strategy for Professional Services aligned to Burberry’s objectives
• Lead, develop and support procurement colleagues to foster accountability and collaboration
• Advise senior stakeholders on complex commercial decisions using market insight to deliver value and risk management
• Direct category management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationships for a diverse Professional Services portfolio
• Oversee the managed service provider for contingent labour, ensuring governance and compliance with legislation
• Deliver financial and operational outcomes through robust reporting, policy ownership and process improvement

Key requirements

• Significant procurement experience with ability to lead complex categories and large spend
• Professional Services experience is advantageous
• Experience supporting and developing teams with inclusive leadership
• Strong commercial judgement and numerical capability with data interpretation to actionable insights
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of contingent labour governance and UK legislation (IR35, AWR) and compliance
• Effective negotiation, analytical and presentation skills
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery in a changing environment
