Project Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, plan and deploy engineering solutions to boost site asset capability. You will lead installation and commissioning of new equipment with minimal disruption, and translate designs into actionable specifications. You will develop URS documents and create AutoCAD drawings to support project objectives. You will work under project managers to complete costings and installations on large projects. This is a chance to contribute to Greencore’s scale in ready-to-eat salads and prepared foods.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver installation and commissioning of new equipment with minimal production disruption
• Ensure equipment drawings and preventative maintenance recommendations are transferred to maintenance files
• Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) to align objectives and standards
• Produce AutoCAD drawings as design specifications
• Assist with design costings or installation under guidance of an engineering project manager

Key requirements

• Experience in project delivery with knowledge of PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience in managing contractors and external suppliers to ensure safe, on-time, within-scope delivery
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite or equivalent project management software
• Willingness to learn AutoCAD or similar design software
• Level 3 Food hygiene qualification (desirable)
• Ability to assess machinery safety
