Overview
In this role you will lead as the CDM Principal Designer for a range of public and private sector projects from inception to completion. You will act as the client’s advisor, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing design risk to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient project delivery. Responsibilities
- Act as the client’s advisor throughout the design and construction process
- Lead and deliver the Principal Designer role from inception to completion
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on a wide variety of schemes
- Contribute to diverse project portfolio across sectors such as residential, offices, education, healthcare, and infrastructure
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering the Principal Designer (CDM) role on construction projects
- Design background or relevant design degree (essential)
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety legislation
- Experience advising clients and managing design risk throughout project lifecycles
- Site inspection experience and understanding of construction site operations (advantageous)
- APS, NEBOSH or similar accreditations welcomed but not essential
