Overview

As an Energy Expert, you will lead and support electricity-sector projects across Europe and Eurasia, helping clients enhance resilience, affordability, and security in power systems. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver technical analyses, market studies, and project support, coordinating with regional and global units. You will shape decisions through energy system modelling and market design insights, while advancing Tetra Tech’s growth in the region. This role offers exposure to diverse assignments, client interaction, and opportunities to influence energy transition practices. You will represent the firm at conferences and contribute to thought leadership in evolving,

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of projects focused on Europe & Eurasia, aligning with global growth strategies
  • Lead power system and energy modelling to inform energy markets and infrastructure development
  • Support ongoing projects and pursue new opportunities, considering market design, cross-border exchange, storage, and flexibility
  • Collaborate with European units and engage with clients under senior supervision
  • Assist business development through proposals and responses to RfPs in the energy sector
  • Raise the firm’s profile via knowledge sharing on energy transition practices and technologies, including external outreach and thought leadership

Key requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant energy sector experience (electricity markets, market design, energy economics, power systems)
  • Solid understanding of energy system design and its economic/technical implications
  • Knowledge of European energy market and regulatory framework (energy acquis)
  • Experience in demand forecasting, scenario development, dispatch, generation adequacy, and renewable integration
  • Regulatory environment navigation and stakeholder implications
  • Experience working in large, diverse teams and with detailed technical data
  • Strong writing and communication skills; proficiency in English
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
