Overview
In this role you generate new meetings with large corporates, guided by insights from our industry and specialist teams. You will open doors, research decision‑makers, and initiate outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn, feeding opportunities to senior sales colleagues. You will support WTW’s events programme to boost attendance and engagement. Your work helps grow our risk advisory and insurance services by turning conversations into early‑stage opportunities and maintaining sharp data records. Responsibilities
- Open doors and generate meetings with a portfolio of large corporate organisations
- Research organisations to identify decision-makers and understand sectors and priorities
- Initiate contact via email, LinkedIn, and outbound calls; nurture early sales cycle relationships
- Turn initial conversations into confirmed meetings with involvement of senior colleagues when appropriate
- Support and help deliver the events programme, maximise attendee engagement and follow up
- Maintain accurate CRM records of contacts, activity, meetings and next steps
- Share insights from conversations with the wider sales team
Key requirements
- Strong communication skills and confidence to initiate conversations with senior people
- Commercial curiosity about businesses and industries
- Energy, enthusiasm and persistence with positive motivation over time
- Disciplined, organised approach to research, follow-up and record-keeping
- Ability to learn quickly and translate information into clear messages
- Good judgement and knowing when to seek guidance or involve experienced colleagues
- Collaborative attitude and ambition to pursue a career in business development, insurance and risk advisory
- Sales, business development or lead generation experience is helpful but not essential; transferable skills from professional services accepted
