Associate Director – Civil CDAE – Energy

Overview

As Associate Director you will lead end-to-end HV substation design and act as the lead CDAE Civil Engineer on National Grid projects. You’ll collaborate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to shape grid-scale infrastructure from concept to energisation. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end HV substation design from concept to energisation
• Act as the lead CDAE Civil Engineer on National Grid projects
• Liaise with clients and manage day-to-day project delivery within timescales and budgets
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of energy infrastructure
• Respond to technical queries from project teams
• Act as Lead Verifier on projects including feasibility studies and design reports
• Direct staff and mentor graduate engineers

Key requirements

• BEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered status or actively working towards chartership
• CDAE certification
• Experience with medium/high voltage grid connections, including cable routing, and familiarity with National Grid
