Front End Engineering Associate Manager (GenAI experience)

Overview

In this role you lead front-end engineering for mobile and web platforms, shaping high-impact product experiences. You’ll drive delivery across client digital programs and set technical direction for web platforms while championing quality, performance, and accessibility. You’ll explore Generative AI use cases to add measurable value and grow high‑performing teams. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Data and Engineering to deliver user-centered web products from discovery through production.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and delivery impact across the customer technology product engineering practice
• Shape and scale client product and platform engineering capabilities (operating model, team topology, delivery practices)
• Build trusted senior client relationships and align stakeholders on outcomes, scope and measures of success
• Lead engineering across large digital and agile transformation programmes to improve predictability, quality, and delivery pace
• Set web front-end technical direction (architecture, standards, governance)
• Champion testing, accessibility, performance (Core Web Vitals) and production observability
• Identify, prototype and scale Generative AI use cases in products and delivery workflows with responsible adoption
• Grow and retain high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, hiring support, and progression paths
• Create and evolve reusable assets (Next.js accelerators, design system patterns, delivery playbooks)
• Partner with Product, Design, Data and Engineering to deliver user-centered web products from discovery through production

Key requirements

• Front end engineering experience
• Proficiency with modern web frontend tech and frameworks (React/Next.js)
• Mobile experience a plus (iOS/Android/React Native)
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React patterns (hooks, context, state management)
• Experience with frontend testing strategies/tools (Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress)
• Accessibility-first delivery (WCAG) with semantic HTML and assistive tech testing
• Web performance optimization and profiling (Core Web Vitals, bundle analysis, code-splitting)
• Deep Next.js experience (SSR/SSG/ISR, routing, data-fetching)
• Strong UI fundamentals (responsive design, CSS, cross-browser)
• Experience contributing to design systems/component libraries (governance, docs, adoption)
• Frontend build tooling and DX (Vite/Webpack, monorepos, linting/formatting, dependency mgmt)
• Production observability and debugging (frontend monitoring, error tracking, analytics)
• Frontend security basics (XSS/CSRF, secure auth, client data handling)
• Use of Generative AI in workflows/products
• Proven scalable AI solutions
• Experience integrating cloud services (GraphQL/REST)
• Agile product development experience
• Broad modern engineering practices (Systems Architecture, Front End, Platform/SRE, Quality Eng, CI/CD)
• Experience presenting work to leadership as trusted advisor
• Experience planning for product growth and transformation
