Workday Engagement Manager

Overview

In this role you lead end-to-end Workday implementations for Medium to large ERP programs, acting as the project face and ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule. You guide cross-functional teams, mentor consultants, and manage client relationships to drive satisfaction, value, and profitability. You will leverage Cognizant’s Cynergy Workday Methodology and the Workday product suite (HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials) to deliver impactful solutions. The position offers leadership across engagements and opportunities to influence sales and post-implementation transitions.

Responsibilities

• Act as project lead for 1–2 large Workday implementations in the Project Manager role
• Apply Cognizant’s Cynergy Workday Methodology across engagements and demonstrate Workday product knowledge
• Assist in sales activities: requirements gathering, delivery approach, and SOW/proposal development
• Plan and staff projects, track issues/risks, and communicate status with client PM and stakeholders
• Mentor and guide Collaborative consultants; ensure delivery within SOW budget
• Present change orders for scope/time/cost adjustments and report to Executive Steering Committee
• Coordinate with Workday Delivery Assurance for checkpoint compliance
• Support transition from professional services to product support and help reference-ability for clients

Key requirements

• Successful PM experience leading medium to large ERP implementations
• Prev. Workday Consulting/Partner experience
• Knowledge of ERP with emphasis on HCM, Finance, and Payroll
• HR/Finance/Payroll practitioner background is a plus
• PMP a plus
• Willingness to travel onsite as needed; UK resident for last 5 years and eligible for UK work authorization
• UK-specific compliance for on-site travel and clearance (SC Clearance eligibility)
