Overview
In this role, you will lead delivery of NIHR portfolio research across West Yorkshire in a mobile ARDT setting. You work across hospital and wider care environments to manage concurrent studies, ensuring compliant, high-quality delivery. You will supervise team members, coordinate study activities, and maintain rigorous data and sample handling. The position focuses on expanding research reach in community and regional settings and aligning with NHS priorities. A strong emphasis on planning, flexibility, and impact on patient care drives this opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Travel across West Yorkshire to deliver clinical and non-clinical research
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and research sites
- Screening, recruitment and informed consent
- Deliver interventions, follow-ups, data management, sample collection/processing
- Ensure compliance with GCP, governance, and Data Protection Act
- Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to the research delivery team
- Identify training needs and manage performance
- Support NIHR RRDN goals and portfolio delivery in Wider Care Settings and community
Key requirements
- Experience delivering research in dynamic environments or in community-based practice
- Knowledge of GCP, research governance, and Data Protection Act
- Ability to supervise, mentor and conduct staff reviews
- Clinical skills for research delivery (phlebotomy, ECG recording, sample processing)
- Ability to travel across the region and coordinate across settings
- Knowledge of commercial and non-commercial research delivery (advantageous)
- Knowledge of legislative frameworks governing safe and effective research delivery
