Housing Assurance and Quality Manager

Overview

As Housing Assurance and Quality Manager, you will lead the Housing Assurance and Quality function to ensure robust governance, assurance, performance, and policy frameworks that support safe, compliant, and resident-focused housing services. You will work with the Head of Governance and Assurance to shape governance structures and provide clear reporting to Cabinet, scrutiny, and regulators. Your role involves embedding risk management, policy review, and continuous improvement across teams and across tenure services. This is a chance to influence regulatory readiness, resident voice, and transparency at a pivotal time for the sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain governance frameworks and assurance reporting
• Develop and embed governance, risk management and assurance systems
• Oversee housing policy development and alignment with legislation and regulatory expectations
• Lead performance monitoring and quality frameworks using data and resident feedback
• Coordinate with regulators, auditors, inspection bodies and Ombudsman services
• Support timely reporting against statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements

Key requirements

• Substantial experience in housing assurance, quality, governance, policy, performance, risk or regulatory compliance
• Experience leading teams in a large or complex organisation
• Understanding of housing statutory reporting and regulatory environment
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear organisational guidance
