Maintenance Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will maintain and optimise the efficiency of Nestlé Purina’s Wisbech manufacturing line. You’ll work within the Reliability Maintenance Engineering team to keep machinery in good condition, uphold safety and quality, and drive improvements. You’ll collaborate with MWG and AWG production teams to implement preventive and predictive maintenance. This role offers development opportunities and a stable 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern in a supportive, inclusive environment. You’ll contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement that supports the company’s pet-care mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machine conditions on the line and perform improvement activities, including repairing breakdowns
• Drive a safe culture and eliminate workplace risks
• Ensure products meet quality standards
• Drive continuous improvements across manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with Maintenance Working Groups (MWG) and Autonomous Working Groups (AWG) using inspection, root cause analysis, centerlining, and preventive/predictive maintenance

Key requirements

• Experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering foundations
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Knowledge of planned preventative asset maintenance
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and TPM
• Mechanical comprehension and awareness of food safety standards
