Overview

In this role you will support procurement delivery for a newly formed joint venture, coordinating indirect-category activities with in-country and remote teams to align with business priorities and governance. You will help shape contracting processes, CPPs, and supplier performance programs while ensuring compliance and effective use of P2P systems. You’ll navigate post-award activities, risk management, and local-content considerations to enable smooth procurement execution. Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of category strategies
  • Deliver end-to-end sourcing and contracting, including governance approvals, negotiations, and risk management
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with relevant standards and operationalised into P2P systems
  • Support development of Contracts & Procurement Plans (CPP) using demand data for assigned sub-categories
  • Execute compliance and due diligence activities, including audit resolution
  • Support post-award contract management, including invoice approval support, change requests, tracking contract expiries, and extensions/renewals
  • Support supplier performance activities (KPIs, performance reviews, and improvement actions)
  • Ensure Local Content considerations are incorporated into procurement decisions where required
  • Act as a point of contact for suppliers and help category teams understand the local market
  • Promote a strong compliance culture and psychological safety; provide input to investigations and corrective actions where required

Key requirements

  • University degree in Procurement, Engineering, or a business/technical discipline
  • CIPS chartership (or equivalent) preferred
  • Approximately 5+ years’ procurement experience in Oil & Gas, ideally Professional Services or In-Direct
  • Strong knowledge of Procurement & contracting, supplier management, and project execution environments
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions, cultures, and geographies (internal and supplier-facing)
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with confidence negotiating complex contracts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to drive alignment across competing priorities
