Delivery Lead / Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead complex technology and business change within a large-scale banking environment. You will align technology delivery with business outcomes across Technology, Business and Architecture, guiding programmes from conception through to delivery. You’ll operate in dynamic, evolving settings where requirements may be undefined, providing structure and pragmatic hands-on leadership. The opportunity centers on driving end-to-end transformation and shaping program strategy in a high-impact, cross-functional context. Hybrid working with on-site presence in Edinburgh or London creates a flexible yet strategic anchor for delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technology and business transformation programmes
• Partner with Technology and Business stakeholders to define and deliver programme outcomes
• Collaborate with Architects to shape design, strategy and delivery direction
• Translate strategic objectives into delivery plans with milestones
• Manage delivery across multiple technology areas, teams and dependencies
• Build credible stakeholder relationships and maintain trust across the organisation
• Govern risks, issues, dependencies and governance with effective escalation
• Provide clear progress reporting and highlight delivery challenges
• Navigate ambiguity with structure and direction, while actively driving delivery

Key requirements

• Proven track record as Delivery Lead, Senior Project Manager or Technology Programme Manager
• Experience delivering large-scale technology transformation from a programme perspective
• Delivery across multiple technology disciplines, not satellite to a single domain
• Strong strategic delivery background with early-stage programme shaping
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building and influencing
• Comfort in complex, fast-moving environments with ambiguity
• Solid understanding of Digital and Cloud transformation
• Delivery governance, risk management and problem-solving capability
• Banking domain experience; high street/retail banking exposure preferred
• Experience with digital/mobile banking, cards/loans, mortgages and customer journeys
