Overview

You will lead and manage professional services teams delivering administrative support for teaching, learning, and research programmes. In this role, you oversee education-related activities, ensure quality and compliance, and collaborate with academic and professional staff. You will drive process improvements and provide strategic leadership for service delivery across your area. This is a chance to shape student experience and support the university’s education mission at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teaching and learning administrative activity across the service area in line with regulations
  • Coordinate quality audits, reports and remedial plans; advise on programme administration
  • Maintain student experience quality and support engagement and enhancement opportunities
  • Manage education-related projects and service delivery improvements
  • Provide leadership for staff recruitment, development, and performance; ensure resource planning
  • Act as liaison between the service, College, and University; communicate changes and policy updates
  • Participate in university working groups/committees as Secretary or representative when required
  • Support data reporting and analysis for management and institutional needs

Key requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in a senior administrative role within a customer-service environment
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate staff
  • Strong communication skills across staff, students and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence change, evaluate options, and manage confidential data
  • Excellent organisational skills, meeting deadlines and handling changing requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to set up/maintain complex systems
  • Experience with higher education procedures and POLICIES (desirable)
