Overview

In this role you will analyze, design, and optimise engineering software applications that support mission-critical programmes. You’ll work within a collaborative team to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, improving system performance and user experience across defence, aerospace, and engineering domains. The position offers hybrid UK-based work with opportunities across multiple levels from engineer to senior. You’ll influence system evolution, contribute to roadmaps, and help deliver continuous improvements that enable engineering teams to perform at scale.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and configure engineering software to meet business needs
• Deliver improvements and project-based enhancements to applications
• Provide second/third-line application support for reliability and availability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
• Ensure solutions align with architecture principles and roadmaps
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and user experience
• Work with technical specialists to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Experience managing and maintaining IT or business system solutions
• Understanding of engineering or technical software environments
• Basic knowledge of CAD, PLM, CAM, Design Analysis, or ILS
• Experience in structured IT or digital delivery environments
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
