Overview
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will shape and enhance Early Years Initial Teacher Education across undergraduate and postgraduate provision. You will design and deliver research-informed learning focused on babies and toddlers (0-3) and broader birth-to-five pedagogy, supporting graduate practitioners in development and wellbeing. You will build partnerships with settings, local authorities and sector bodies to strengthen regional and national provision, and contribute to research and knowledge exchange. Senior Lecturer level adds leadership in curriculum delivery, quality enhancement and colleague development.

Responsibilities
- Shape delivery and strategic development of Early Years Initial Teacher Education
- Design and deliver innovative, research-informed learning for graduate practitioners
- Contribute across birth-to-three pedagogy, development, language, inclusion, SEND, family engagement, workforce development and knowledge exchange
- Foster collaborative partnerships with Early Years settings, local authorities and sector organisations
- Contribute to the Faculty’s research, knowledge exchange and impact activity (International Centre for Early Years Education)
- Senior Lecturer: provide leadership in curriculum delivery, quality enhancement, partnerships and staff development
Key requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status
- honours degree
- PhD or equivalent
- strong knowledge of Early Years education

- potential to be an effective research-informed teacher and assessor
- Senior Lecturer: extensive experience in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and in designing teaching, learning and assessment; ability to lead modules and support quality enhancement
