Senior Golang Software Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems that power InfoSum’s data collaboration platform. You’ll collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions with a strong focus on security and reliability. Your work will address performance, scalability, and data integrity in a privacy-first environment. Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks under high load
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases
• Implement security best practices for compliance
• Develop automated testing strategies to ensure quality
• Collaborate with product, frontend and DevOps teams for deployment
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and share knowledge
• Implement monitoring and logging to address production issues
• Stay updated on emerging technologies to improve efficiency

Key requirements

• 5+ years in backend development with expertise in Go
• Experience with Python and/or Java advantageous
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, gRPC, microservices, and REST APIs
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Relational database design and PostgreSQL experience
• Knowledge of scalability strategies, load balancing, caching, and Kafka
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing experience
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
