Staff Software Engineer, Alts Data Management

Overview

As Staff Software Engineer in the Alternatives Data Management (ADM) team, you own complex, multi-month initiatives and drive end-to-end delivery. You will lead technical designs, promote best practices, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to resolve challenges. You will write high-performance, scalable code and mentor others while shaping ADM’s product and infrastructure direction. This role offers scope to work on AI-powered data products that enhance transparency and efficiency in private markets.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex ADM initiatives spanning multiple teams
• Lead architectural designs for new products and workflows aligned with long-term strategy
• Solicit feedback, build consensus, and unblock dependencies
• Write high-performance, scalable code and frameworks
• Promote engineering best practices and serve as a technical point of contact
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex application and infrastructure issues
• Mentor engineers and guide their technical development
• Communicate strategy, trade-offs, and architectural direction to stakeholders

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Extensive software engineering experience
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives from design through delivery
• Ability to work independently with a bias for action
• Strong ownership mentality and problem-solving drive
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience with financial services or wealth management operations
• Experience with object-oriented programming
• Experience with AWS or another cloud platform
• Experience with IaC (infrastructure as code), preferably Terraform
• Experience with gen AI for coding
