Overview
In this role you support the MEP Commercial package management and provide commercial administration for a major rail project. You will work within a collaborative team aligned to our JV culture and values, addressing problems with disciplined root-cause analysis and practical solutions. You’ll handle contract administration, reporting, cost control, and stakeholder liaison to keep commercial processes on track. The position offers exposure to HS2’s scale and strategic impact, with opportunities for development and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Main contract management and administration
- Supply chain management including contract administration
- Commercial document control
- Cost capture and control (including CLR)
- Commercial reporting
- Planning & programme management
- Change control
- Measurement and project metrics reporting
- Assisting with cash management
- Liaison and negotiation with Customer’s commercial/project teams
- Maintaining productive internal/external stakeholder relationships
- Assisting with internal/external valuations and reports
- Implementing commercial procedures and reporting for compliance
- Maintaining commercial records aligned with contract requirements
- Overseeing contractual issues
Key requirements
- RICS/CICES accredited degree (or equivalent)
- Full membership of RICS or CICES (or equivalent)
- Post-graduate commercial experience in construction with track record
- Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
- Experience drafting contractual correspondence and facilitating collaborative solutions
- Good legal, contractual and construction knowledge
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
