Job Description:

Regional Sales Manager – South

Home-Based | South of England | Regular UK Travel | Company Car

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join a well-established and highly respected specialist business operating within the emergency services sector.

This is a home‑based regional sales position covering the South of England, with responsibility for developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and representing a comprehensive portfolio of specialist operational equipment.

The role would suit a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys working autonomously, building long‑term customer relationships and selling technical products into professional and operational environments.

The Role

  • Managing and developing existing customer relationships across the South
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Promoting a comprehensive portfolio of specialist firefighting and emergency service equipment
  • Achieving agreed sales targets
  • Planning and managing your own diary and customer visits
  • Delivering customer presentations and product demonstrations
  • Preparing quotations and supporting commercial proposals
  • Contributing to bids and tender submissions, including local authority tenders
  • Attending UK and international trade exhibitions
  • Supporting product marketing activity
  • Working closely with internal sales and senior management teams
  • Developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Promoting the business as a complete solutions provider within the emergency services sector

Full product training will be provided, allowing you to develop a detailed understanding of the product portfolio and become a credible technical advisor to customers.

About You

  • An experienced B2B sales professional with a strong commercial mindset
  • Confident presenting and demonstrating technical products
  • Comfortable managing a large geographical territory independently
  • Proactive in generating new business as well as developing existing accounts
  • Highly organised and capable of managing their own diary
  • A confident communicator who can build relationships at different levels
  • Comfortable working with quotations, tenders and bid submissions
  • Target-driven and commercially focused
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office
  • A full UK driving licence holder

You don’t necessarily need direct firefighting industry experience if you have the right technical sales, business development and relationship‑management background. The employer will provide product training. The original brief specifically highlights communication, technical demonstrations, commercial development and tender experience rather than making previous firefighting‑sector experience mandatory.
