Overview

In this permanent Analyst role, you will support Jefferies’ EMEA M&A and Financial Sponsors teams, helping to drive coverage, reporting, and strategic initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior bankers and leadership to maintain pipelines, prepare materials, and enable decision-making across multiple products and regions. The position offers exposure to strategic projects, FP&A-related activities, and the integration of automation and AI to improve processes. You will play a key role in shaping the EMEA coverage infrastructure and contributing to the firm’s growth in M&A and private equity. Responsibilities

  • M&A reporting and business management: produce weekly packs, track pipeline and backlog, reconcile with finance reporting, coordinate MARC submissions, run monthly/quarterly data and competitor analysis, maintain coverage data and databases, prepare performance presentations for senior management
  • Financial Sponsors coverage: act as central contact for sponsor-related queries, manage FSG infrastructure, prepare portfolio analyses and exit opportunities materials, coordinate sector/country calls, research sponsor market and Jefferies’ addressable wallet
  • Execution support: pull data for pitch decks and buyer strips, maintain fundraising/dry powder master file, provide fee precedent analysis and sponsor credentials
  • Strategic projects: support EMEA leadership on strategic initiatives and global corporate coverage, assist with unit reviews, wallet analysis, and client events
  • Automation and AI: drive efficiency via automation, develop in-house tools, train team on AI/automation best practices

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in Outlook and Word
  • Interest in AI tools and automation
  • Interest in M&A and private equity; finance/accounting knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in Investment Banking Business Management/COO support or FP&A is advantageous
  • Big Four Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, or Audit background is advantageous
