Overview
As an Operational Manager, you will lead a community-based, recovery-focused mental health team within a specialist eating disorders service. You will drive safe, effective care while managing resources within budget and fostering a person-centred approach. You’ll work with patients, families, and partners to strengthen pathways, support service development, and deliver quality improvements. Your leadership will shape staff wellbeing, culture, and high standards of care, contributing to transformational service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead a community-based, recovery-oriented mental health team within budgetary constraints
- Plan and develop the team to provide person-centred, recovery-focused care
- Exercise autonomous judgement in complex service delivery and organizational decisions
- Foster internal and external partnerships to deliver safe, complex care
- Monitor performance, quality, safety, and service development per local and Trust policies
- Lead and support strategic and operational planning for specialist areas
- Ensure effective day-to-day management of operational and clinical services
- Provide strong leadership to deliver inclusive, patient-centred services
Key requirements
- Education to degree level
- Recognised postgraduate management qualification or equivalent experience
- Significant experience managing clinical services and a large multidisciplinary team (NHS experience preferred)
- Proven track record of managing significant operational/strategic change in a clinical setting with multidisciplinary teams
