Overview

In this role you will develop tools to support early retrievals and operations of MSSS SEP machines, while backing the principal engineer. You will contribute to safety-focused design work and produce key deliverables that enable manufacture and installation. You will work within NUVIA UK’s Technical Services & Consulting team to apply industry standards and guide compliance. This position offers hybrid work and a pathway to impact across decommissioning and legacy facility projects within a regulated nuclear context.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and processes to support MSSS SEP machine retrievals/operations
  • Support the principal engineer on project delivery
  • Produce NFRs and OIMS deliverables
  • Create design packages suitable for manufacture and installation
  • Produce drawings, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with CDM roles and applicable engineering guides
  • Apply 5t practices and engineering standards in project work

Key requirements

  • Understanding CDM roles and specifications
  • Experience producing design packages for manufacture and installation
  • Familiarity with 5t practices, standards and engineering guides
  • HNC/ HND/ Scientific or Engineering Degree
  • Desirable: experience in decommissioning legacy facilities, materials and contaminated hazards
  • Design packages for manufacture and installation including drawings, method statements, risk assessments
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Familiarity with 5t practices and engineering guides
  • NFRs and OIMS production
  • Experience with decommissioning legacy facilities (desirable)
