Refrigeration Engineer

Overview

In this role you will service, maintain and repair refrigeration systems across Aldi and Lidl stores in London and Greater London. You will work with cold rooms, pack systems and chest freezers within retail environments. CO2 and R290 qualifications are advantageous, with training provided. The position is permanent, offering door‑to‑door travel, overtime and a generous holiday/pension package. You will join a regional facilities team focused on reliable store refrigeration assets.

Responsibilities

• Service refrigeration systems in Aldi and Lidl stores across the region
• Perform maintenance and diagnose breakdowns of cold rooms, pack systems and chest freezers
• Work within supermarket/retail environments
• Coordinate with regional team and adhere to safety standards
• Utilise on-site troubleshooting to minimise downtime

Key requirements

• Strong background as Refrigeration Engineer
• Full UK driving licence
• City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration
• Fgas2079 (cat1)
• Experience in supermarket/retail environments
• Based in London or the Home Counties
• CO2 and R290 certificates would be a bonus
