Overview

As a Project Planner in SSE’s Onshore Renewables team, you will develop and maintain construction-focused schedules using Primavera P6 across wind farm development, construction, and life-extension projects. You will work closely with engineering, procurement and site teams to reflect real conditions, analyze critical paths and risks, and support mitigation and decision-making with data-driven reports. The role contributes to delivering safe, on-time projects within NEC contract frameworks, helping SSE advance its clean energy goals. This is a location-flexible, permanent role with a strong focus on impact and collaboration within a broader renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 project schedules across the full lifecycle, from development to operation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement and site construction teams to create realistic, logic-driven programmes.
  • Identify critical paths, delays and risks; develop mitigation strategies to protect schedule integrity.
  • Conduct delay analysis and assess time impacts from changes, claims and variations under NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
  • Provide clear planning reports and insights to inform decisions and performance management.

Key requirements

  • Proven project planning and scheduling experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on Primavera P6 experience building and managing complex programs.
  • Experience working under NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including delay impacts and contractor claims.
  • Track record of delivering in complex project environments with defined roles and stakeholders.
