Overview
As Legal Counsel – Regulatory, you will provide strategic regulatory and commercial legal advice to Farfetch across multiple territories. You’ll act as a true business partner, focusing on payments regulation, digital and consumer protection, and contract matters to support rapid, compliant growth. You’ll collaborate with the global Legal Team to identify risks, engage regulators, and drive pragmatic solutions in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

Responsibilities
- Advise on payment regulation and broader regulatory frameworks, including digital regulation, product compliance, and consumer protection
- Track and assess regulatory requirements (with focus on payments) and advise on implementation
- Identify regulatory risks and enforcement trends and mitigate implications
- Develop engagement strategies with regulators
- Advise on commercial matters and ensure compliant payment models in contracts
- Negotiate, draft and review contracts, policies, and legal documentation
- Liaise with external law firms as needed
- Support the Group Legal VP and Regulatory Team in maintaining regulatory compliance
- Use legal tech and AI tools to deliver efficient advice while promoting ethical use
Key requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 1-3 years’ PQE
- Experience advising on payments regulation and commercial matters
- Ability to interpret new international regulation and apply risk-based analysis
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- Proactive, organized, autonomous yet collaborative
- In-house experience beneficial
