Overview

In this role, you will serve as a trusted presales advisor, shaping digital transformation for enterprise clients across EMEA. You’ll translate high-level business goals into Verizon solutions, building long-term relationships with customers and cross-functional teams. You’ll design and present complex architectures, own the technical relationship, and help win opportunities while staying ahead in networking and security domains. This hybrid, travel-enabled role blends strategy, technical leadership, and customer-centric impact.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities and define a strategy to leverage technology to achieve objectives
  • Recommend integration architectures, platforms, and infrastructure required for complete solutions
  • Own the technical relationship with customers, manage briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinate resources
  • Collaborate with customers to create solutions and use cases leveraging the Verizon portfolio
  • Position Verizon Business as a thought leader on key technological developments
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge to deliver high-quality services and solutions
  • Travel to client sites and events to represent Verizon as required

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related IT subject or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a pre-sales solution architect for a managed services provider
  • Direct interaction with customer stakeholders as part of a sales process
  • Experience in architecting and developing network and cybersecurity solutions for large enterprise customers and handling RFP responses
  • Knowledge of SDN, routing, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Knowledge of data and information security in business contexts
  • Experience in two or more areas: SDN, IT infrastructure/security, cloud or network systems management, or business continuity
  • Willingness to travel 25–50%
  • Valid UK Driver’s License
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with audience engagement
  • Team player with ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to uncover business challenges and translate them into proposals
