Overview

In this role you drive the translation of product strategy and customer needs into high-quality digital products. You steer a Product Development team across multiple agile feature squads, partnering with UX and Technology to align customer insight, architecture, and dependencies. You establish clear product definitions and ready-to-deliver criteria, resolving ambiguity and aligning stakeholders across the business. You lead with a collaborative, outcomes-focused style and help scale product development practices within a regulated financial services context.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a Product Development team across multiple agile feature teams
  • Set and maintain standards for product definition, requirements, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Ready
  • Ensure work is understood with early consideration of customer, business, technical, regulatory, and operational factors
  • Facilitate decision making and unblock dependencies across multidisciplinary teams
  • Translate product strategy and customer needs into clear, deliverable outcomes with Product Managers
  • Collaborate with UX and Technology to incorporate insight, APIs, architecture, and dependencies into product decisions
  • Build relationships across Product Development and wider business and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Coordinate with Project Management to align development activity with programme plans and delivery commitments

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in product development, product ownership, or digital delivery
  • Experience leading or working across multiple agile feature teams
  • Strong experience across Product, UX, and Technology in a multidisciplinary digital environment
  • Track record of defining and delivering digital product requirements
  • Experience coaching or leading Product Owners, Business Analysts, or similar roles
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to drive decisions
  • Ability to operate at strategic and detailed levels as needed
  • Collaborative leadership style with constructive challenge in complex environments
  • Experience delivering consumer-facing digital products; financial services or regulated environments is beneficial
