Overview
In this role you will contribute to WA’s transport and civil infrastructure projects within WSP’s Bridges, Aviation and Roads group. You’ll work in a digitally enabled environment, applying automation and data-driven design to deliver smarter, safer solutions. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and clients to align delivery with scope, time, and cost while shaping future-ready transport infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to delivery of complex transport and civil infrastructure projects across WA
- Provide technical input to civil designs, drawings and reports
- Engage with clients to understand needs and deliver value-driven solutions
- Deliver work to scope, programme and cost across multiple projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and nationally
- Contribute technical input to proposals and pursuits to support business growth
- Provide technical input, review and verification of designs and reports (for certain levels)
- Act as technical authority within discipline, ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Champion Safety in Design, quality systems and OHS&E behaviours
- Manage scope, programme, cost and risk across projects
- Mentor engineers and support capability uplift
- Lead multidisciplinary teams (where applicable)
- Lead technical input to proposals and pursuits (where applicable)
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent, or working towards
- Typically 3–15 years of experience in civil and transport engineering
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, Main Roads WA standards, PTA standards and civil design practices
- High level capability with design software (e.g., OpenRoads or 12D)
- Genuine enthusiasm to shape transport infrastructure design and construction
- Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex projects (depending on level)
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical risk and apply Safety in Design principles
- Strong client engagement skills with WA infrastructure experience
- Collaborative mentor capable of developing others
