Overview

In this role you will support the residential real estate practice at a Legal 500-listed commercial firm in St Albans. You will manage end-to-end residential transactions and related matters for landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers, contributing to development, investment work, and other property projects. You’ll work in a collaborative, growth‑oriented team that values work‑life balance and professional development. Responsibilities

  • Manage and progress residential transactions from instruction to completion for landlords/tenants and buyers/sellers
  • Advise on development, investment work, licences for alterations, deeds of variation, wayleaves, options, overage, lease extensions, refinancing and transfers of equity
  • Review case files and liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • Draft and review legal documents; write articles and participate in marketing events
  • Lead training initiatives for the team and contribute at departmental meetings
  • Support junior solicitors and paralegals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth closure of files and client satisfaction

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5-7 years’ PQE in residential property
  • Proven track record in full range of residential real estate transactions
  • Excellent legal technical knowledge and commitment to CPD
  • Client focused and commercially aware
