Overview

As Senior Key Account Manager in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics UK, you will drive growth across NHS, Public Health and Local Authority channels by shaping strategic opportunities and building strong stakeholder relationships. You will lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles, craft compelling value propositions, and support regional execution of national strategies. Your work helps expand Abbott’s point-of-care diagnostics impact and patient outcomes, within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive regional sales growth and meet territory objectives
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for Rapid Diagnostics products and services
  • Cultivate relationships with healthcare stakeholders across primary and secondary care
  • Identify, research, prioritize, and secure new business opportunities
  • Lead complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and procurement processes
  • Develop compelling business cases and value propositions for customers
  • Support implementation of national sales and marketing strategies regionally
  • Negotiate contracts in collaboration with legal teams
  • Coach and develop colleagues and support talent growth and performance
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Marketing on workshops and local initiatives
  • Maintain accurate CRM insights and opportunity management

Key requirements

  • Significant healthcare/diagnostics/medical sales experience with a proven track record
  • Experience managing key accounts and delivering profitable revenue growth
  • Proven success securing contracts and leading complex negotiations
  • Experience working within the NHS and understanding healthcare procurement processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across lengthy sales cycles
  • Strong commercial acumen and business planning capabilities
  • Experience with managed services and/or medical equipment leasing models
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills
  • CRM experience and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading colleagues is desirable
