Overview
As a Chartered Building Surveyor at Aldwych Consulting, you will lead diverse building survey instructions from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse range of building surveying instructions from initial appointment through to completion
- Carry out condition surveys, defect diagnosis and building pathology investigations
- Act as Contract Administrator on refurbishment, repair and fit-out projects
- Deliver cladding assessments, fire safety surveys and remediation advice
- Provide guidance on Building Regulations, statutory compliance and fire safety requirements
- Produce high-quality technical reports, specifications, schedules of condition and dilapidations documentation
- Undertake technical due diligence and pre-acquisition surveys
- Support and mentor Assistant and Graduate Surveyors as they develop their careers
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the business
Key requirements
- MRICS-qualified Chartered Building Surveyor
- At least two years’ post-qualification experience within a consultancy environment
- Strong technical knowledge of construction, building pathology and contract administration
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining high standards
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills with confidence in front of clients
